BP16 Translation Conference Prague - Art nouveau walk

Meeting point: ’Under the horse’ of the equestrian statue at metro stop Muzeum, line A (same line as the conference hotel). Meeting at 9:25 on Sunday (17 April) and Monday (18 April), the tour starts at 9:30.

Art nouveau is not only an architectonic style, but  a lifestyle of the beginning of 20th century – the golden time in the Czech history, the refinement, gentlemanship, respect and a sense for beauty, sense for taste. Parisian district with its decorative charm, Municipal House, newly restored passageways, Lucerna Palace (cultural Mecca of Czech Republic), Evropa hotel with original belle époque furnishing, cubist Café Orient, legendary café Slavia etc, excellent service, great taste.

Visit the most elegant and charming cafes, where Franz Kafka, Karel Capek, Václav Havel were regular guests, hear the stories outstanding personalities, but first of all – taste the delicious local sweet specialties and best coffee a la “Viennese” style, get to see the locals!

This refreshing walk takes 3 hours – stop in 2 cafes.

 

The tour is offered by Prague Walks. Due to special VAT rules regarding travel services, the price is split in two portions. 4 € booking fee payable through BP16 webshop + 8 € payable to the guide.  A representative of Prague Walks may be present in the hotel when you pick up your badge, so you can pay for all walks / day trips there.
