There will be an ATA certification exam at the conference venue on April 14, 2016 (Thursday).

The American Translators Association offers certification exams several times a year, but only a few times outside the United States.

This will be a great chance for any established professional translator to become certified in any one of the language combinations offered. Certified ATA members get higher exposure on the U.S. translation market, and in many cases this leads to better projects and higher rates.

Please read the eligibility requirements and other details of ATA’s certification program carefully.  You must be or become an ATA member before registering for the exam. You must apply for the exam directly with ATA, i.e. not via BP16.   The exam fee is USD 300, payable directly to ATA.

The exam will take place in a quiet classroom in the conference hotel (Hotel Don Giovanni, Vinohradská 157a, Praha 13020, Czech Republic).   (Directions to the hotel)

The exam lasts for three hours, starting at 9:00 am and ending at 12:00 pm.  You’ll be requested to take your seat in the exam classroom by 8:30 am.  Please note that you MUST meet all criteria to sit for the exam.  Identities will be checked before the exam.

BP16 Translation Conference does not receive any commission from ATA for hosting this exam. The only expected benefit is raising the general profile and attractiveness of the conference.
